Is traditional psychotherapy in danger of becoming a dinosaur?
Clay Cockrell stops to explore the strong possibility that this industry is changing whether counselors feel ready or not.
Clay is a psychotherapist (LCSW) based in New York City. He is the founder of Walk and Talk Therapy where he meets with his clients in Central Park instead of in an office. He is also an online marriage counselor, connecting with his clients via HIPAA complaint platforms to have online couples counseling over the internet to improve and repair their relationships.
Recently, he has launched The Online Counseling Directory. This is a listing of online therapists all over the world and has the goal of connecting clients in need with the trained and certified therapists that can meet their needs. It is an educational platform, including podcasts, that works to inform therapists on the ethical legal requirements for doing tele-mental health.
